Report on BCA Association Inauguration Ceremony
The BCA Association Inauguration Ceremony was a remarkable event, marked by participation from students, faculty, and distinguished guests. The ceremony was expertly anchored by Sneha Sajan.
The event commenced with a prayer song by Lekshmi and Anagha, creating a serene and respectful atmosphere. This was followed by a silent prayer in memory of our dear friend and classmate, Adarsh, who is dearly missed by all.
The welcome speech was delivered by the Head of the Department, Saramma John, who warmly greeted everyone and emphasized the importance of the BCA Association. This was followed by the Presidential Address from Principal Professor Itty Varghese, who highlighted the role of such associations in fostering academic and personal growth among students.
The dignitaries then performed the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the official inauguration of the BCA Association. Among the honored guests was Mr. Sanu, Co-founder and Managing Director of Softzane Solutions, who added prestige to the event. Mrs. Geethu, the Association In-charge, was also present and acknowledged for her efforts.
A special segment of the ceremony was dedicated to appreciating students who excelled in academics and extracurricular activities at Kerala University. Nithin P. Leen was recognized for achieving an A grade in the first and second semesters. Sneha Sajan was celebrated for winning third prize in the English short story writing competition. Additionally, Fahim secured the 4th rank in the first semester, Ajin the 15th rank, Aslam the 20th rank, and Amal was commended for excelling with an A grade this semester.
Felicitation speeches were given by the Staff Secretary, Mrs. Augustina, and the Director, Reverend Father Sebastian Kizhakkethal, who both offered words of encouragement and support.
The ceremony included a seminar on "Internet of Things" conducted by Mr. Devakumar, Founder and CEO of Softzane Solutions, who shared valuable insights into the future of IoT. As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to Mr. Devakumar by the HOD.
There was a break during which refreshments were provided to the children and guests by the refreshment team, offering a moment for relaxation and informal interaction.
Soon after the break, Former student Naveen Kumar presented an innovative project demonstration, showcasing the practical applications of technology and inspiring current students with his accomplishments.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, including a dance by the super seniors and a song by Anagha, which added a celebratory mood to the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the BCA Association Secretary, Nithin P. Leen, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, guests, and organizers for their contributions to the successful inauguration.
